Jimmy White Exhibition (Lincoln, Feb 2019)

Saturday 9th February 2019

Whilst on a weekend away in Lincoln, Laureece and I heard that Jimmy White was doing an exhibition nearby at a pub called 'Tyrwhitt Arms'.

After enquiring, I was lucky enough to grab the last ticket of the evening to play the legend himself. I was super excited, as this was the first time I'd ever played a top class professional in an exhibition in front of a packed crowd of a few hundred people.

I even had my own entrance for when I made my way to the table! My walk-on music was 'High Hopes' by 'Panic At The Disco'. When I got to the table, Jimmy and I shook hands and we had our photo taken - whilst this was happening, Jimmy commented on my choice of music and whispered to me, "finally! some good bloody music!"

The full match is on YouTube (link is in the caption of the top image on this page)

I broke off and somehow didn't pot anything! I thought this might be my one and only shot, but Jimmy played a couple of shots which took him out of position. The transition from snooker to pool can be tricky, even for someone like 'The Whirlwind'!

But I eventually got my chance...

My positional play wasn't very good, I just managed to play some pretty good pots and get myself in front.

As you can see here, I got to the black ball whilst Jimmy still had 5 of his yellow balls in play!
I'm not going to spoil the ending for those of you who would like to see the full match.

See for yourselves, how this one ended here...
